Summary
We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer to maintain, enhance, and scale an enterprise Salesforce Managed Package tailored for the global hospitality industry. In this role, you will work within a large-scale, distributed engineering ecosystem, contributing directly to quarterly business objectives, feature refinement, and technical estimations. You will combine deep Apex and managed package development expertise with legacy component support (Visualforce, Salesforce Classic) and structured deployment processes. This position is ideal for an engineer experienced in navigating heavy processes, platform limits, and complex release management pipelines in large enterprise environments.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Professional Experience
5+ years of professional software development experience, with a primary focus on the Salesforce ecosystem
Specialized experience developing, maintaining, and upgrading Salesforce Managed Packages (ISV / AppExchange architectures)
Deep expertise in Apex development, platform governor limits, and asynchronous processing within packaged environments
Proven experience working on large-scale, legacy enterprise systems with geographically distributed teams and heavy process governance
Active experience in Agile refinement, technical estimation, and delivery alignment on a quarterly planning cycle
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, optimize, and expand a complex enterprise Salesforce Managed Package for hospitality management solutions
Participate actively in quarterly goal refinement, technical task breakdowns, and estimations alongside product and engineering stakeholders
Write high-performing, secure Apex code while navigating packaging constraints, namespace isolation, and platform governor limits
Support and maintain legacy system components (Visualforce pages, Salesforce Classic functionality) while assisting in gradual platform evolution
Contribute to continuous integration (CI) workflows, version control standards, and automated deployment pipelines using Git/GitHub, TFS, and Jira
Collaborate seamlessly across large, multi-team distributed environments to ensure code stability, packaging security, and smooth releases
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience in several of the following areas:
Salesforce & Managed Packages (MUST): Specialized expertise in Salesforce Managed Package development, packaging limits, namespace management, Apex, and Visualforce
Apex Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Apex (Triggers, Asynchronous execution, Batchable/Queueable jobs), SOQL/SOSL query optimization, and test coverage within package constraints
Legacy System Support: Hands-on experience supporting legacy Salesforce architectures, Visualforce, and Salesforce Classic interfaces
Enterprise Tooling & DevOps: Version control and release management tools, including Git, GitHub, TFS, Jira, and Salesforce CI/CD workflows
Distributed Team Processes: Proven ability to operate effectively inside structured, heavy-process environments across distributed engineering groups
Nice to Have
Experience modernizing legacy Visualforce components using Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Exposure to AppExchange security review processes and package versioning upgrade strategies
Knowledge of or prior experience in the hospitality, travel, or high-volume service management industries
Official Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I / II)
Soft Skills
Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills within large, multicultural, and remote engineering teams
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and reverse-engineering skills when navigating complex legacy codebases
High organizational discipline and adaptability to structured enterprise processes and quarterly delivery commitments
