Solid experience working with and maintaining database systems, schemas, and complex backend data flows.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, optimize, and extend legacy Java backend services and data pipeline structures.
Manage, support, and enhance public-facing API products utilized by enterprise clients to access our platform.
Provide advanced production support, troubleshooting critical system alerts, analyzing logs, and implementing stable fixes.
Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to support overall pipeline health, cloud integrations, and client onboarding processes.
Document code structures, API schemas, integration patterns, and troubleshooting guides to reduce operational risk.
Evaluate legacy backend modules and draft safe, incremental modernization and performance tuning strategies.
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience in several of the following areas:
Java Mastery: Deep expertise in core Java backend development, concurrency, and enterprise framework standards.
API Development: Comprehensive knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, security protocols, and integration architectures.

Familiarity with Python development, AWS serverless services, or cloud-native data pipelines.
Practical experience leveraging agentic AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex) to rapidly map legacy repositories and reverse-engineer undocumented systems.
Prior experience in compliance-heavy industries, fintech, tax systems, or financial services.
Soft Skills
Advanced English proficiency with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding system archaeology skills—comfortable working with legacy code, incomplete documentation, and complex dependencies.
High level of personal ownership, initiative, and the ability to operate independently.
Strong cross-functional alignment, working easily with Product, Support, and DevOps stakeholders.
