Summary

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems as part of modern, cloud-based architectures.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of robust, distributed applications, working across backend services, APIs, and integrations. As a senior engineer, you are expected to bring strong technical judgment, actively contribute to architectural decisions, and support best practices across the development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring other engineers and driving continuous improvement within the team.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 5+ years of experience building software applications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Java (Java 8+)

• Experience developing backend systems and scalable APIs

• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams

Soft Skills

• Intermediate English proficiency, both written and spoken.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

• Ability to mentor and guide other engineers

• Strong ownership and accountability

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, distributed teams

Required Skills

• Backend Development: Java (Java 8+), Spring / Spring Boot

• APIs & Architecture: REST APIs, microservices, service-oriented architecture

• Databases: SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)

• Version Control: Git (GitHub, GitLab, or similar)

• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Containers & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

• Testing: Unit testing and quality assurance practices

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring-based frameworks

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

• Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability across environments

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems

• Contribute to technical design decisions and architecture discussions

• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices

• Support CI/CD processes and participate in deployment workflows
