Summary
We are looking for a Staff / Lead AI Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of AI-native integrations and automation workflows within a fast-growing, product-driven healthcare environment.
This is not a traditional software engineering role. You will operate in an AI-native development model, where tools like Claude, Gemini, and GPT are your primary interface for building, debugging, and orchestrating solutions.
The focus of this role is integration over implementation — building scalable connections between systems, automating workflows, and enabling AI agents to operate across cloud environments and healthcare platforms.
As a Staff-level engineer, you will take full ownership of architecture, integration strategy, and delivery execution, working at high speed to deliver MVPs in days, not weeks.
What You’ll Do
• Act as the primary engineer driving AI-native development using Claude, Gemini, or similar tools
• Design and implement rapid integrations across Azure, GCP, and healthcare systems
• Reverse-engineer APIs and build data bridges between EMR systems (AdvancedMD) and AI workflows
• Own and operate within an Azure-first environment, including Entra ID, Azure SQL, App Services, and Power Automate
• Build and orchestrate automation workflows using Power Automate, n8n, or similar tools
• Develop scripts and integrations using Python, JSON, and SQL for data transformation
• Deliver production-ready MVPs quickly, prioritizing speed and impact over perfection
• Lead by example in a distributed team, setting the pace for execution and automation
What We’re Looking For
Must to have
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and M365 ecosystems (Entra ID, Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, etc.)
• Advanced experience using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, GPT) as primary development environments
• Strong experience building API integrations and automation workflows
• High proficiency in Python, JSON, and SQL for integration and data transformation
• Experience working with REST APIs, OAuth, service principals, and system integrations
• Ability to move fast, prototype quickly, and deliver solutions with minimal overhead
Technical Skills
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, and GCP (Vertex AI, APIs, Cloud Functions)
• AI-Native Development: Hands-on use of Claude, GPT, Gemini, or similar tools as part of daily workflow
• Programming & Automation: Python, PowerShell, SQL/T-SQL, .NET
• Integration & APIs: REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, OAuth, JSON payload handling
• Automation: Power Automate, n8n, or workflow orchestration tools
• Data: SQL Server, ODBC connections, data transformation, structured/semi-structured data
Nice to Have
• Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7 / FHIR)
• Experience integrating EMR systems (e.g., AdvancedMD)
• Familiarity with AI agents or automation frameworks
• Experience working in HIPAA-compliant or regulated environments
Who You Are
• A self-starter who identifies problems and automates solutions without waiting for direction
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, AI-first environments
• A “hacker mindset” engineer who prioritizes speed, automation, and outcomes
• Strong problem solver with a focus on integration and workflow orchestration
• Able to balance technical execution with real business impact
What Success Looks Like
• Rapid delivery of AI-powered integrations and workflows
• Seamless connectivity between cloud platforms, EMR systems, and AI agents
• Efficient use of AI tools to accelerate development cycles
• High-impact solutions delivered with speed and minimal friction
