Description
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will architect and continuously improve the infrastructure for cloud-based services and client interfaces. Collaborate with team leads and management across the company to define shared capabilities. Manage the day-to-day operations of our build, testing, and continuous integration and deployment environment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience
Around 8 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or DevOps.
Skills
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
- Experience deploying into government on-premise and cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with production cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Strong experience with at least one programming language: Bash, Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript, with development operations of continuous integration, automated testing, and automation of the dev process.
- Experience designing and rolling out scalable infrastructure using container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of HTTP and DNS protocols.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, or an equivalent.
- Experience with Git repositories.

- Experience with relational databases / SQL queries as well as NoSQL databases
- Experience in monitoring, metrics collection, and reporting using open-source tools

Important
- This is a short-term, 3-month remote contract focused on implementing an MVP for a project.
- Full-time dedication of 40 hours per week during daytime CST hours is required.
