Summary
The Delivery Manager is responsible for delivering the value we have committed to our clients. The DM manages the short, mid and long-term health and performance of the team and is the primary operational contact for the client.
Responsibilities
- Customer Success: Responsible for the delivery of the migration project: request and coordinate environments/software or any material needed for a project, team members are productive and satisfied with the project, client/team communication is going well, and good value is being delivered to the client while executing according to a plan matching KPIs and project requirements. Oversee and ensure clients have high delivery quality for all the different projects through effective relationships and processes.
- 2NABOX: The DM works closely with the Account Manager (AM) for its projects providing accurate and timely updates and constant communication with the AM.
- Staffing: Responsible for the migration project strategy, including project planning along with the technical leader(s), adding new team members, and defining skill sets considering the needs of the project.
- Performance/Team: Enhance and facilitate the team's performance, and work with HR and Project Leads as needed to ensure the successful resolution in case of performance issues of any team members.
- Risk Management: Identify issues or risks in the migration project and identify along with the Tech Leader a mitigation plan.
- Financial Management: Track efforts against budget, provide information related to expected expenses of the project and interface with the Finance Department for revenue recognition and invoicing. Present project profitability and cost status to the Delivery Directors and executive team.
Skills and Experience
- Educational background in the field of computer science or strong management experience in software (more than 5 years).
- Project management experience interfacing directly with customers internal and external at the executive level.
- Understands and leans into their shared role of 2NABOX.
- Proven knowledge of AGILE methodologies in the information technology sector.
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Executive communication skills, ability to summarize complex problems to facilitate conversation within different team members and executive stakeholders.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail.
- Good at creating and managing plans and motivating and leading others toward their achievement (Leadership).
- Able to monitor the team performance to ensure on-time completion of planned deliverables.
- Be a team player and be able to work with other areas and roles.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of risk management strategies.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Desirable good managing and coaching skills to manage and coach Agile Facilitators and the project team to successfully deliver solutions.
