Summary
We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master to foster Agile practices, empower self-organizing engineering teams, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional LATAM and US-based development teams. In this leadership-focused role, you will act as a catalyst for team success, working closely with Delivery Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to remove impediments, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and align execution with strategic value delivery. Operating with high autonomy, you will mentor other facilitators, address organizational impediments, and conduct Agile maturity assessments to scale high-performing teams.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Professional Experience
5+ years of professional experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Facilitator, or Agile Coach leading software development teams across LATAM and US environments
Proven track record in guiding cross-functional teams through Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile frameworks from team formation to high performance
Demonstrated experience collaborating directly with Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and Tech Leads to align product roadmaps with sprint execution commitments
Hands-on experience conducting Agile maturity assessments, facilitating root-cause analysis, and driving data-driven continuous improvement using Agile metrics
Strong experience working in remote, distributed, and multicultural software engineering ecosystems
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate core Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives), ensuring events are productive and time-boxed
Coach and mentor engineering teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, self-organization, and value-driven delivery
Identify, track, and proactively resolve technical and operational impediments to safeguard team delivery commitments
Foster psychological safety, open communication, active listening, and constructive feedback loops within development teams
Define, monitor, and analyze team Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, throughput, cycle time) to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
Assess team Agile maturity, design tailored workshops, and act as an internal Agile consultant and mentor for emerging facilitators
Partner with Product leadership to maintain backlog transparency, artifact documentation, and clear acceptance criteria
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience in several of the following areas:
Agile Frameworks & Coaching: Mastery of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean methodologies, team coaching, and Agile transformation practices
Agile Tooling & Management: Deep proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, or Mural for backlog management, tracking, and remote facilitation
Metrics & Analytics: Expertise in tracking and interpreting Agile delivery metrics (Velocity, Burndown charts, Cumulative Flow Diagrams, Lead/Cycle Time)
Facilitation & Problem Solving: Advanced facilitation techniques, creative retrospective formats, and root-cause analysis frameworks (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)
Nice to Have
Official Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), PSM II, SAFe Agilist, or ICP-ACC)
Experience working in nearshore IT consulting, software services, or fast-paced product development environments for US clients
Familiarity with software engineering workflows, modern tech stacks, and CI/CD concepts to effectively collaborate with engineering leads
