Summary
We are looking for an Advanced QA Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team and contribute to an existing Playwright automation framework. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding test coverage, executing automated test suites, and leveraging modern AI-assisted tools to optimize quality assurance workflows. The ideal candidate combines a strong foundation in core QA practices with hands-on contributions to test automation and an eagerness to apply generative AI tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and failure diagnostics.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Professional Experience
3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, spanning manual testing methodologies and test automation contributions
Hands-on experience working with modern web automation tools, specifically contributing to or executing scripts within a Playwright framework
Demonstrated experience utilizing generative AI or agentic tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to boost daily productivity, write test scripts, and debug code
Solid background in end-to-end test execution, bug reporting, and regression validation within Agile/Scrum environments
Key Responsibilities
Integrate into and maintain an existing Playwright test automation framework to expand UI and functional test coverage
Apply AI-assisted tools responsibly to generate test scenarios, refactor test scripts, optimize selectors, and perform root-cause analysis
Design, execute, and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and bug reports for complex web application features
Conduct functional, exploratory, and regression testing, ensuring seamless transitions between manual verification and automated script execution
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teammates to identify quality bottlenecks and validate bug fixes
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience in several of the following areas:
Test Automation: Hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python) for web application testing
AI Tooling & Productivity: Practical proficiency in leveraging AI development assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate test writing, script debugging, and documentation
QA Fundamentals: Strong foundation in manual testing practices, test case design, defect lifecycle management, and exploratory testing
Version Control & Agile: Command of Git (GitHub/GitLab) and experience working within Scrum or Kanban delivery models
Nice to Have
Experience migrating or converting manual test cases into automated Playwright test scripts
Exposure to API testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Postman, REST API automation)
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for automated test execution
Soft Skills
Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
High learning agility with a strong enthusiasm for adopting emerging technologies and AI tools
Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate defects and technical concepts
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and high ownership over product quality
