Summary
At Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP), we partner with leading organizations to design, build, and evolve software products that drive real business outcomes. We are looking for a Product Manager to support a long-term client engagement (12+ months) focused on golf irrigation software and operational workflows.
In this role, you will lead product discovery, backlog execution, and stakeholder management while working closely with client stakeholders and a cross-functional delivery team (design and engineering). You will translate complex, ambiguous needs into a clear roadmap and actionable delivery plan, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable outcomes.
This is a highly hands-on, client-facing Product Manager role, ideal for someone comfortable operating in services/consulting environments, adapting quickly to new domains, and using AI tools and prototyping to accelerate product work.
Engagement Context
• Client allocation: Golf irrigation software and workflows
• Engagement length: Long-term (12+ months)
• Primary focus: Discovery, prioritization, backlog ownership, stakeholder management, and delivery coordination
• Delivery model: Cross-functional team (Product, Design, Engineering)
• Tooling: Product and technical stack not yet defined; adaptability is required
• Communication: Fluent, client-facing English is mandatory
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & problem framing
Lead structured discovery with client stakeholders and end users to understand workflows, constraints, and success measures.
Translate ambiguous asks into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and measurable outcomes.
Backlog ownership (hands-on)
Create and manage epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with strong edge-case coverage.
Maintain backlog health: prioritization, dependency management, definition of ready/done, and change control.
Delivery leadership
Partner with engineering and design to slice work into incremental releases (thin-slice MVPs).
Drive execution cadence (planning, refinement, demos, retros) and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Client stakeholder management and Cross-funtional alignment
Build trust with client stakeholders through clear, proactive communication.
Lead alignment on scope, milestones, tradeoffs, and risks; maintain decision logs and status reporting
Facilitate stakeholder discussions to resolve misalignment and keep delivery outcome-focused.
Operate effectively in an environment with multiple internal teams (executives, firmware engineers, internal software teams, support/ops).
Modernization & legacy-to-modern transition
Lead product work where the goal is to modernize workflows, systems, and tooling that internal teams previously owned.
Manage transition concerns: continuity, training, adoption, data migration, and “how we work now vs how we will work” decisions.
Maintain a pragmatic approach that balances ideal architecture with real delivery constraints.
AI-enabled PM practice
Use ChatGPT/Gemini to speed up synthesis, writing, planning, and analysis while preventing hallucinations and ensuring quality.
Apply practical verification practices before client-facing communications.
Prototyping & product tooling
Experience with low- to mid-fidelity mockups/prototypes in Figma (or an equivalent tool) to validate workflows and align stakeholders.
Use product tools effectively (ticketing, documentation, collaboration) and adapt quickly to new stacks.
Must-have qualifications
3+ years of Product Management experience (or equivalent product ownership) delivering B2B software in cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to lead client-facing discovery and manage stakeholders in a services/consulting delivery context.
Strong hands-on backlog capabilities: writing clear user stories and testable acceptance criteria.
Operationally pragmatic: Prioritizes functional outcomes and real-world usability over theoretical ideals; strong judgment under constraints.
Strong experience with workflow-heavy systems where multi-step processes, permissions, and edge cases matter.
Comfortable operating in legacy-to-modern transitions (modernization work), including ambiguity, constraints, and incremental migration strategies.
Comfortable working in environments where they may be temporary/embedded, modernizing systems that internal teams previously built; able to earn trust and alignment across teams.
Experience running delivery in agile/iterative environments (sprint planning, refinement, demos).
Demonstrated use of AI tools (ChatGPT and/or Gemini) for real PM workflows, including a verification approach.
Proficiency with Figma or comparable prototyping tools (must have examples of work).
Excellent written communication: exec summaries, structured updates, decision/risk documentation.
Comfortable defining lightweight operating models when tooling/process is undefined.
Why Join GAP
