Summary

We are looking for an Advanced Python AI Integrations Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend integration services that connect internal applications with external platforms, APIs, and automation workflows. This role is focused on hands-on development, data exchange, and system integration rather than people leadership.

You will work in an AI-first environment, leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve reliability. The role emphasizes backend development using Python, REST APIs, JSON-based integrations, and workflow automation, supporting mission-critical business processes across multiple systems.

This position is ideal for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys integration work, automation, and building reliable data flows across distributed systems.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Professional Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software development or backend engineering

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python for backend services, integrations, or automation

• Proven experience building and maintaining system integrations using APIs and data pipelines

Key Responsibilities

Backend & Integration Development

• Design, build, and maintain backend integration services using Python

• Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, Webhooks, and JSON-based data exchanges

• Implement data pipelines and automation workflows for operational, product, and financial data

• Integrate internal systems with third-party platforms, SaaS tools, and external services

• Build utilities and scripts for data transformation, validation, and synchronization

AI-Accelerated Development

• Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot) as part of the daily development workflow

• Leverage AI to accelerate debugging, documentation, scripting, and integration design

• Collaborate in environments where AI-generated code and workflows are part of the standard process

Automation & Workflow Orchestration

• Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, n8n, or similar low-code platforms

• Design triggers, connectors, and error-handling logic for automation pipelines

• Support API-driven and event-based automation across systems

Monitoring & Reliability

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data exchanged between systems

• Monitor integrations, troubleshoot failures, and resolve issues across multi-system workflows

• Implement logging, validation checks, and basic alerting for integrations

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with product, operations, and engineering teams to understand integration needs

• Translate business requirements into clear technical integration specifications

• Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, workflows, and data mappings

Required Skills

• Strong backend development experience with Python

• Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs

• Proficiency working with JSON and structured data formats

• Experience integrating multiple systems and third-party platforms

• Familiarity with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, n8n, or similar)

• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, queries, and basic transformations

• Experience debugging complex, multi-system integration issues

• Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)

Nice to Have

• Experience with OAuth, service principals, or secure API authentication

• Exposure to low-code or no-code integration platforms

• Experience with PowerShell or Bash for automation tasks

• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts, or system-to-system integrations

• Experience working in AI-enabled or AI-assisted development environments

Soft Skills

• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple integration tasks

• Clear communicator, able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
