Summary

We are looking for an Advanced Software Engineer with .NET knowledge. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing scalable, robust, and high-performance solutions to build upon our applications, and specifically a Public API. As an engineer, you are a highly experienced and skilled professional, that often serves as a key technical lead. You play a critical role in guiding and influencing engineering decisions, solving complex technical challenges, setting standards for best practices, contributing to the development of overarching strategies, assuming leadership roles, and providing mentorship to other engineers.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience building Software Applications.
• 3+ years of experience working with .NET.

Required Skills

• Experience in programming languages and frameworks (e.g., .NET, C#, Entity Framework).
• Experience with REST APIs. As the main project is to develop a new public API, we require someone with experience in a similar project.
• Experience implementing scalable RESTful API architectures with .NET Web API framework.
• Strong understanding of REST principles, including proper resource modeling, endpoint naming conventions, and HTTP methods/status codes usage.
• Experience with API versioning strategies and backward compatibility considerations.
• Proficiency in implementing API authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys).
• Experience with API documentation tools and standards (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman).
• Experience with Cloud Services such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, ideally AWS, as the API's infrastructure will be on AWS.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Experience with development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with database systems (e.g., SQL).
• Experience with quality assurance (e.g., Unit tests).
• Experience with containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with security (e.g., OWASP, OAuth).
• Experience with performance (e.g., Caching, code optimization).

Nice to have

• Experience working with clients in the retirement industry in the US to be familiar with some of the key concepts or processes, or experience with financial services.
