UX/UI Designer
Description
We’re looking for a talented UX/UI designer who can support our fastest-growing experience team which crosses several of our teams. A designer that can take loose concepts and breathe life into them. Someone who understands the importance of design craft and shows off a fantastic body of work. This role is an exciting mix of product and content design. Visual, interaction, layout, and motion design are all integral to this role and will require a design that really understands brand and craft. If you enjoy creating content pieces that are interactive, intuitive, thoughtful, simple, and delightful, this role is for you!
Responsibilities:
As a part of the product team, you'll tackle diverse design tasks to create exceptional user experiences. You'll craft mockups, prototypes, and graphics to showcase future functionalities. Regular communication with product leadership will align your work with the North Star. By integrating North Star directions into your ongoing projects, you'll be a guiding force. Leading design reviews and participating in them will enhance learning and consistency across products. Through skills like illustration, typography, hand-lettering, and motion graphics, you'll weave captivating visual content, breathing life into our products.
Must-haves:
- Showcase your work through an online portfolio highlighting crafted product experiences across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, or similar software for wireframing, prototyping, and design.
- Apply design thinking principles when collaborating with team members.
- Engage with users to understand product usage and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Create foundational UX artifacts like personas, wireframes, site maps, journey maps, and storyboards.
- For senior roles, demonstrate experience leading or participating in design thinking sessions, such as sprints.
- Conduct usability tests to uncover user interactions, pain points, and areas for enhancement.
- Design with accessibility in mind, adhering to guidelines like WCAG and using accessibility testing tools.
- Organize content and information logically for user-friendly navigation.
- Proficiently create interactive prototypes to validate design concepts through early-stage testing.
- Apply design principles, color theory, typography, and layout to create visually appealing interfaces.
- Define user interactions and behaviors, incorporating animations and transitions.
- Utilize A/B testing to compare and refine different design variations.
- Possess at least 3+ years of team-based design experience.
Nice to Have:
- Expertise or proficiency in After Effects for creating prototypes.
- Familiarity with creating Lottie files.
- Experience contributing to advertising groups for marketing and video materials.
- Ability to develop marketing materials.
- Basic knowledge of UI code, including an understanding of page structure.
- Familiarity with motion graphics creation in After Effects, and then creating Lottie files.
